Share a Claude artifact, privately.

Claude built you a page. Put it on a rendrd link and you decide who opens it. Passwords are free, pages stay out of search, and you can take a link down whenever you want.

What is a Claude artifact

An artifact is the thing Claude builds in the panel beside the chat rather than in the message itself: a web page, a report, a dashboard, a diagram, a small working app. Claude splits it out because it is a finished piece of work you will want to read, edit and keep, not a paragraph of reply.

Underneath, most artifacts are one self-contained HTML file. All the styling, the charts and the interactivity are in that single file, which is why it looks the same in any browser, on any device, whether or not the person opening it has a Claude account.

That is also what makes an artifact easy to share on your own terms. You do not need Claude to serve it. Any host that serves a single HTML file will do, and the host you pick is what decides who can open it.

How to share it privately with rendrd

  1. 1Get the file out of Claude. Download the artifact as an .html file, or ask Claude for the full HTML and save it yourself.
  2. 2Put it on rendrd. Drop the file on the rendrd.io uploader, or connect the rendrd MCP server once and just ask Claude to publish it. No account needed to start.
  3. 3Send the link. Add a password first if the page is sensitive. Your reader opens a live page, not a download.

Questions

Are Claude artifacts public?

An artifact stays inside your chat until you publish it, and publishing gives you a link anyone who has it can open. To choose who reads it instead, put the same HTML file on rendrd: password-protect the link, keep the page out of search engines, and take it down whenever you like.

How do I download a Claude artifact as an HTML file?

Open the artifact panel beside the chat and use the download option to save it as an .html file. If your artifact does not offer a download, ask Claude for the full HTML and save it yourself as a file ending in .html. Either way you end up with one self-contained file you can host anywhere.

Can I password-protect a Claude artifact?

Yes, once it is on rendrd. Save the artifact as an .html file, upload it, and set a password on the link. It is free on every plan. Anyone without the password gets a prompt instead of your page, so only the people you choose can read it.

Will my rendrd link show up in Google?

No. Pages don’t appear in search results: every page carries a noindex tag, and nothing on rendrd links to them. Anything with a password won’t open without it.

Can Claude publish to rendrd for me?

Yes. Connect the rendrd MCP server once in Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini, then ask your assistant to publish the page. It hands you a live rendrd link inside the chat, with nothing to download and nothing to upload.
